Outside Sales Representative

Status:

Regular, Full time

Job Description

    Interested?

    • Commissions based on your sales.

    Do you have what we’re looking for?

    To be successful in this role, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform all essential responsibilities effectively.

    • 2–3 years of sales experience in the electrical distribution industry, or a comparable combination of education and experience

    • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships

    • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets

    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with current and prospective customers

    • Strong negotiation abilities

    • Experience using ERP & CRM software

    • Strong sales skills and a good track record for generating results.

    • Enjoy being on the road and find it easy to connect with people.

    • Self-reliant and organized, someone who takes responsibilities seriously and delivers high-quality work.

    • Excellent knowledge of customers, industry trends, products, and the competition.

    Here’s a typical day:

    • Identify business opportunities with existing and potential customers based on criteria established by the Business Centre Manager.

    • Maximize sales to all customers. Suggest alternative and complementary products.

    • Respond to customer needs and find appropriate solutions, based on the circumstances.

    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.

    • Maintain an excellent knowledge of customers, products and the competition.

    • Track customer profitability and credit levels. Let the Manager know about any negative trends.

    • Work with the team to understand strengths and opportunities and recommend solutions to improve the brand promise.
