About this opportunity

CRO Manager (m/f/x)


At betterbusiness our aim is to leverage the impact of meaningful companies by providing the best performance-based customer acquisition solution on the market, powered by AI and machine learning. 


The CRO Manager is responsible for reducing our customer acquisition costs, increasing our conversion rates, and growing our revenue per user. Representative work includes optimizing our own portal and landing pages as well as our partners’ landing pages  across international markets and multiple product verticals. 


You will work closely with our partner management, product, and functional operations teams on value proposition, product positioning, landing pages, personalization and overall content structure optimization. This role is a unique opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the rapid growth of betterbusiness and that of our partners.


Even though this role is fully remote, we are looking for team members based in the Berlin area.

What you will be doing
Your ​daily tasks will be divided into strategic and operational responsibilities. 

Strategic Responsibilities

  • You will develop and implement a robust methodology for conducting test and analyzing data to inform decision-making

  • You will take ownership of the testing roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.

  • You will communicate insights and findings from testing and analytics to relevant teams, informing product development and strategy


Operational Responsibilities

  • You will develop experiment designs that align with strategic objectives and generate actionable insights. 

  • You will carry out experiments in a prioritized manner (based on business impact and resource allocation

  • You will review analytics on conversion and close rates by channels and segments

  • You will manage  testing documentation

Who you are

  • You have exceptional ability to interpret and analyze data effectively to drive decision-making.

  • You have experience conducting user research across diverse markets to understand user behavior and preferences.

  • You have psychological understanding of user/consumer behavior across markets

  • You have proficiency in statistical analysis methods to derive meaningful insights from data

  • You have the ability to think creatively to design experiments and generate innovative solutions

  • Proficiency in marketing platforms and tools like: Tableau, A/B testing tools such as Optimizely, Google Analytics and Google Ads Manager is a plus.

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • You are a critical-thinker and problem-solver

  • You have native or near-native German language proficiency, as well as very good to excellent English language skills

  • You are comfortable working in a self-driven, international team that moves fast!

Interview process

At betterbusiness, we care a lot about who we hire. In order to create the most impact for our partners, we need to build high performing teams. Our recruitment process consists of four stages:

  1. Application

  2. Initial 15-30 minute conversation with the hiring manager

  3. Meet the team: 3 interviews up to one hour each with the hiring manager and co-workers. Depending on the role, we may ask how you would solve a problem and present your solution to the team

  4. Decision
