Our Business Analysts identify and analyze business needs, gather requirements, and define scope and objectives for applications integrated with business processes/data and IT infrastructure.
This role offers flexible hybrid location of onsite Meridian Idaho campus, and work-from-home. Position sits within the IT/Benefits Configuration team and will report to one of our IT Managers, while interacting with various Blue Cross of Idaho departments.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Subject area or related field; OR equivalent work experience (Two years’ relevant work experience equals one year of college)
Required Experience: 3-5/+ years' as Business Analyst or related experience such as data reporting, configuration, IT system analysis and/or system administration within healthcare/health insurance. Skills should also span:
Knowledge of gathering and documenting business/IT requirements, process mapping methodologies, and project management
Teamwork & communication - may also lead cross-functional project teams
Analytical skills such as problem solving, process improvement
Presentation, facilitation, and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to help influence results and outcomes, connect with both technical and business teams, and engage with internal/external customers
Ability to be a self-starter, while balancing multiple tasks and meeting benchmarks
Analyze business operations, business development, and assist with development of process and system specifications
Ability to represent the department on committees and hold decision authority
Familiarity with Facets, Tableau and ServiceNow; depth of experience on queries and tables within SQL
Ideally our BA has:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant certs (business, IT, or health related field)
Healthcare/Insurance experience to include configuration, product/claims/benefits administration
Experience coordinating with IT on software development projects: ability to work at a technical level in most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the data management and/or application of technology to the current and future business environment. Develop detailed selection criteria based on identified IT product requirements.
Salesforce and/or CRM experience
Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
Your day may look like:
Recommending solutions or improvements to business processes.
Researching business requirements, develop detailed specifications, and validate the solutions with business partners.
Communicating needs to the development team by translating business requirements.
With IT support, assist in the development of tools, applications, reports, and analytics to enable strategic programs and metrics for the Enrollment & Billing department.
Troubleshooting technical issues and work through a resolution (root cause analysis).
Planning and executing business user acceptance testing and related test activities.
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is: $71,708 - $127,114 (Analyst II and/or III). The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance). The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, internal equity, geography, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
