Vannin Chief of Staff has been retained by an industry leading total spend management platform to find their next Chief of Staff to the CEO. Our client's cloud-based business spend management platform helps organizations control and optimize their procurement, invoicing, and expense management processes.
The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner and force multiplier to the CEO, ensuring seamless execution of company vision and strategic initiatives. The Chief of Staff will act as a trusted advisor, business sounding board, and execution partner to drive organizational efficiency, communication, and strategic alignment across our global operations.
This is an exceptional opportunity to serve at the VP/SVP level as the strategic right-hand to a high-impact CEO at a global SaaS leader backed by private equity. You'll be instrumental in driving the most important initiatives, including operational excellence, strategic planning, and organizational transformation. The role offers unique exposure to board-level strategy, M&A evaluation, and the opportunity to shape the future of a market-leading technology company.
This is a full-time, remote position, with travel, reporting directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Business Advisory
- Serve as a strategic thought partner and business sounding board to the CEO, providing insights and recommendations to enhance decision-making
- Support evaluation of complex business decisions including M&A opportunities, strategic investments, and market expansion initiatives
- Act as a trusted advisor with executive presence and business judgment to navigate high-stakes situations
Operating Rhythm & Business Cadence
- Implement and optimize company operating cadence including executive team meetings, quarterly business reviews, and board preparation
- Drive cross-functional business performance management processes to ensure alignment with company objectives and OKRs
- Establish and maintain rhythm of business across all levels of the organization, from executive team to broader leadership
Strategic Initiative Management
- Own coordination and execution of key strategic initiatives
- Leverage experience in IPO readiness/ preparation for public market transition and/or public market experience
- Drive special projects spanning multiple domains including digital transformation, operational excellence, and market expansion
- Implement project management frameworks and tracking systems for strategic initiatives
Communications & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategy for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare CEO for board meetings, investor communications, and key customer engagements
- Create and refine executive presentations, board materials, and strategic communications
- Coordinate messaging across executive team to ensure consistent and strategic communication
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with business leaders to improve operational efficiency and optimize workflow processes across global operations
- Facilitate alignment between functional leaders and ensure strategic priorities are translated into operational execution
- Act as liaison between CEO and executive team, ensuring clear communication and follow- through on decisions
Executive Support & Meeting Excellence
- Ensure leadership meetings are well-planned, efficient, and focused on critical strategic topics
- Develop meeting frameworks that drive informed decision-making and clear action items
- Support CEO preparation for high-stakes meetings including key customer engagements, board presentations, and investor meetings
Recommended Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or senior operating roles
- Prior Chief of Staff experience at enterprise or high-growth companies, particularly in SaaS or technology
- Strong financial and business acumen with ability to evaluate complex business decisions
- Proven track record in project and change management across large, matrixed organizations
- Experience in both private and public company environments preferred

What to Expect from Our Selection Process

1. Vannin Chief of Staff Screening: 15 minute phone interview & 30 minute video interview
2. Initial 45 minute interview with the CEO
3. (2-hour) 2:1 with the CHRO and EVP, Transformation
4. Final interview with CEO
5. Access to CFO, CPTO (Product and Technology), CMO and CCO (Chief Customer) as required to gain more information about the full executive management team and expand POV
