Summary: The Manager, Business Strategy will help shape the strategic direction of the Minnesota Vikings by supporting and executing high-impact initiatives across departments. This role will focus on data-driven decision-making, operational alignment and planning, fan growth, and consumer insights. This role will collaborate with executives, department heads, and key stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that drive revenue, elevate the fan experience, and improve overall business performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Alignment & Initiatives
- Support cross-functional integration of strategic initiatives, ensuring execution aligns with organizational priorities and long-term goals.
- Prepare components of the annual strategic planning process for assigned departments, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for innovation.
- Assist in the alignment of budgeting and planning processes with strategic goals, collaborating closely with Finance Department and the Chief of Staff.
- Supply research and conduct data analysis to inform business decisions, develop insights, and support executive-level strategy conversations.
- Analyze fan behavior, market dynamics, and industry trends to guide internal decision-making and identify competitive advantages.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance organizational culture and team collaboration.
Fan Growth & Consumer Insights
- Serve as a strategic partner to departments including Marketing, Vikings Entertainment Network, Partnership Activation, Revenue, Stadium Operations, Communications, and Social Impact by delivering data-driven insights to inform audience targeting, engagement strategies, and growth opportunities.
- Analyze fan behavior, segmentation, and engagement trends to identify strategic opportunities for audience development across key channels (digital, social, in-venue, merchandise, and community).
- Develop frameworks and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of organizational initiatives, enabling smarter investment decisions and ROI optimization.
- Provide strategic recommendations to support go-to-market planning for season ticket renewals, new products, campaigns, brand launches, and experiential activations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and relevant fan insights.
- Translate consumer insights and market trends into actionable strategies that enhance fan connection, brand equity, and long-term value creation.
- Partner with stakeholders to assess competitive positioning, emerging marketing technologies, and league-wide best practices to inform long-term strategy.
Executive Communication & Decision Support
- Develop high-quality presentations and briefing materials for the executive team, including analysis of league-wide trends and organizational performance.
- Translate complex data and strategic findings into clear, compelling narratives to support senior-level decision-making.
- Participate in cross-functional committees to represent the Business Strategy team.
- Support special projects and business cases initiated by executive leadership or Chief of Staff.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 - 5+ years of experience in strategy, business development, consulting, analytics, consumer insights, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information to support decision making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
- Experience in developing strategic initiatives focused on customer engagement, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
