Job Overview Summary

We’re seeking a strategic storyteller who’s passionate about creating content that transforms complex topics into captivating narratives for Advarra’s key audiences: clinical researchers at sites, institutional partners, and life sciences companies. In this role, you’ll manage the production of high-quality, engaging thought leadership and product content—ensuring every asset reflects our voice, sharpens our brand, and aligns with Advarra’s strategic growth objectives. The successful candidate will be an exceptional writer and copyeditor, and has experience with print, video, digital, and social mediums. You’ll also partner closely with the Content Strategy Manager, product and growth teams, and internal experts to maintain editorial quality, operational efficiency, and content consistency across the marketing funnel.

This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in B2B marketing and the ability to build strong relationships across the sales and product organizations, as well as with internal SMEs, customers, and industry thought leaders.

The Senior Content Writer will report into the Director of Brand Communications.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, author, and edit marketing and thought leadership content across a variety of formats, including blog posts, articles, emails, infographics, ads, white papers, case studies, social posts, webpages, survey reports, video scripts, and storyboards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to translate technical topics into engaging, audience-ready narratives for abstracts, bylines, conference and webinar presentations and panels, and podcasts.
  • Serve as the editorial lead for all externally published content—upholding brand voice, editorial standards, and consistency across formats and channels.
  • Work closely with growth and product marketing to optimize copy for marketing channels, pipeline communications, and sales enablement—including email templates, website copy, and product materials / launch plans.
  • Partner with the Content Strategy Manager on content governance and editorial workflows, maintaining a scalable content repository and content calendar.
  • Partner with graphic design and video editors to ensure consistent and compelling layout, imagery, and storyboards.
  • Create derivative pieces of core assets for expanded reach across top- and bottom-funnel use cases.
  • Stay current with editorial and channel trends (print, digital, video, social) and propose new content formats and approaches for the team to test and explore.

Location  

This role is open to candidates working remotely in the United States.  

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a writer or content creator role.
  • Experience in enterprise software, SaaS marketing, or regulated industries.
  • Experience with written, video, digital, and social content, as well as a working understanding of SEO.
  • Portfolio of published content that demonstrates storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
  • Collaborative team player with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with WordPress and content management systems.
  • Previous experience within the clinical research or software industry.
  • Familiarity with AI-generated content tools and automation.

Physical and Mental Requirements 

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation 
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.

The base salary range for this role is $​70,000-125,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
