Manager Social Media Platforms and Partners

You’ll be joining the global brand social team in the London office, home to around 100 adidas employees, working across, Brand, Sports Marketing, Culture Marketing, Marketing Activations, Sales, Digital, Finance, HR & many more. 

 

As a Social Media Manager in the global Brand Social team, you will be working with the leading platforms and partners to create brand connection and product desire via strategic direction, innovative storytelling and publishing, rooted in sport, entertainment, culture, and real-time consumer engagement through two key functions: social and partner publishing.  

 

What you’ll do:  

 

Oversee social media platforms and partners, unlocking the greatest value, and positioning adidas as number one sports brand. Constantly up to date on social platforms (current and emerging), guidelines, brand safety, and new trends. Working closely with the social media strategy to ensure our platform and partners drive best in class creative, innovation in marketing & on brand storytelling across social media, in line with the adidas marketing framework.  

 

You will make sure brand, category and market social teams have clear, actionable guidance, and brand safety to deliver relevant content and advertising experiences which drive conversation both one to one and at scale across social media platforms and partners. 

 

You will make sure we have great relationships and plans with platforms and partners that set up the brand to land with impact across key campaigns and brand moments. Making sure we are recognised as best in class on social media,delivering compelling, consistent, and impactful, consumer experiences for adidas. 

 

You know your way around social media business managers and platforms. You’ll drive the brand partnership with priority social media platforms and have a joint vision for how the platforms should be used and evolved to deliver for adidas in line with the adidas marketing framework (brand campaign, elevated franchise, category activations) with a focus on social content 

 

You’ll build plans for adidas partners (brand icons and future icons) to be activated on social in line with marketing framework (brand campaign, elevated franchises, category activations), with a focus on brand campaigns. Unlocking the greatest value of platforms & partners to deliver on brand performance results and business objectives. 

 

Skills you’ll need:  

 

  • Extensive technical experience with social media content and platforms  

  • Passionate social evangelist - understand, research and share the trends that are changing/shaping the industry  

  • Strong communicationa skills - informing wider team to understand and apply latest best practice on social media platforms 

  • Relationship management and forward planning 

  • Think consumer-first and make decisions based on data-driven insights 

  • Strong written communication skills & excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders 

  • Advanced organisational and relationship management skills 

  • Excellent attention to detail, budget management 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure with tight deadlines 

  • Passion and interest in sport and the culture born from it
