The Commercial Excellence and Operations Leader is responsible for partnering with the Regional GM to drive scalable commercial processes, enhance sales effectiveness, and ensure operational rigor across global markets. The role will lead a high-performing team and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver commercial growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term business visibility.

This position reports to the Genomic Medicine Commercial Leader and is part of the Genomic Medicine Commercial leadership team and will be fully remote.

What you will do:

  • Strategic Partnership & Leadership Serve as a trusted thought partner to the VP Commercial, shaping and executing commercial excellence strategies that align with overarching business priorities. This role leads a global team across commercial operations, analytics, and excellence, while establishing cross-functional operating mechanisms to drive alignment and execution across regions and functions.
  • Commercial Process & Performance Management Drive discipline in funnel management, key account planning, and customer experience (CX) initiatives. Define and monitor key business objectives (KBOs), identify performance gaps, and lead continuous improvement efforts. Ensure consistent and effective use of CRM tools such as SFDC and Qlik across the commercial organization.
  • Sales Enablement & Capability Building Partner with Learning & Development to design and implement onboarding and training programs tailored for commercial teams. Lead the deployment and sustainment of standard sales processes including segmentation, lead management, sales funnel optimization, and customer journey mapping. Support sales incentive planning and performance tracking.
  • ·Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with key functions such as order management, finance, and variable compensation to streamline commercial operations. Drive horizontal process alignment across commercial, operations, and finance teams. Lead strategic initiatives including pricing strategy, customer segmentation, and salesforce deployment optimization.
  • ·DBS & Continuous Improvement Champion the use of Danaher Business System (DBS) tools and methodologies to embed a culture of commercial excellence. Build and coach DBS capabilities within the team and across commercial pillars to ensure long-term sustainment and measurable impact.

Who you are:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA strongly preferred with 15+ years of proven success in a commercial leadership role, with a focus on operational excellence and process improvement.

· Collaborated seamlessly with other departments to align operational goals with overall business objectives.

· Established effective communication channels, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances productivity and problem-solving.

· Proven experience in facilitating and implementing the Commercial Engine, Funnel Management, Growth Room, and Go to Market kaizens or workshops.

· CP or equivalent in DBS tools including, Growth Room, Funnel Management, Transactional Process Improvement, and Problem-Solving Process, possessing proven success in utilization and execution.

· Leverage expertise in DBS Fundamentals combined with business knowledge and key commercial processes such as Funnel Management, Transformative Marketing, and Growth Rooms/Daily Management to achieve commercial goals.

· Superior skills in communications, training / adult learning, consulting / influencing; teamwork across disciplines, regions, and cultures

  • Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
  • Ability to travel both domestic and internal up to 50%
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

· Strong analytical background with understanding of the Life Sciences Industry

· Evidence of strong influencing and teamwork skills, having worked previously in a matrix organization and being accountable for delivering business results.

The salary range for this role is $163,600- $230,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
