EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

As our Field Technician you will be responsible for carrying out a full range of leak detection activities such as sounding, correlating, noise logging, step testing and resolving leakage in your allocated area.
 

Some of your key accountabilities will be:

 

  • To improve the understanding of true leakage performance.
  • To deploy noise, pressure and flow loggers and take part in incident resolution as required.
  • To provide the whole range of skills and abilities necessary to meet our leakage target requirements.
  • Dependant on skill set, undertaking day to day inspection, repair and maintenance of water and wastewater assets to defined internal quality standards.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service whilst meeting health and safety, financial, KPI, statutory, quality and contractual compliance.
  • Work with scheduling team and line management to maximise productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide quality daily job feedback to identify follow on work to minimise the avoidable failures for water quality and environmental consents.
  • Provide support to both customers and colleagues with technical input when required.
  • Manage personal workloads to ensure maximum flexibility, productivity and effective time management.
  • Undertake range of activities as required. Including, O&M activities, valve Isolations, Metering, Problem Solving, Traditional Sounding of Fittings, Leak Noise Correlators, Pipe Tracing Cat/Jenny, Step Testing and Drawing up follow up leak and metering plans.
  • In addition to the above core duties, and as skills and ability allow, you may be required to participate in; meter verification/ installation, lifecycle works and general site maintenance duties, installation and modification, Water Compliance remedial works, etc. 


 

This role dictates that you start from home and work across your allocated region so a full UK driving licence is essential.
 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
 

In order to be successful in this role, you must possess operational leakage experience, including expertise in leak detection. Proficiency in using noise, pressure, and flow loggers is essential for accurately identifying and assessing issues within the water distribution system

Additionally, a strong working knowledge of resolving supply pipe leaks, as well as experience in distribution and leakage repair, is crucial to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and service delivery.

A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
