Job description

Bernhard Schulte is the ship owning business of the international, wholly family-owned Schulte Group. Building on the group’s 140 years of experience in the industry, Bernhard Schulte controls a modern and diversified fleet of 80 fully or partly owned vessels, including container and offshore vessels, bulk carriers, tankers, and gas carriers. To support our team in Hamburg or Cyprus, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Tax Consultant (m/f/d) to join us full-time as soon as possible.

As part of the tax team, you will ensure compliance with national and international tax regulations for the Schulte Group. For this varied role, we are seeking a seasoned and committed Tax Consultant (m/f/d) who will be responsible for the following tasks:


Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing tax support for national and international companies across all types of taxes
  • Participation in international matters, particularly:
    • Preparation of transfer pricing documentation (Master File and Local File)
    • Preparation of Country-by-Country Reporting
    • Implementation of Pillar II legislation (Global Minimum Tax)
  • Participation in tax due diligence reviews and tax projects
  • Coordination, monitoring, and analysis of tax-relevant processes as well as further development of the Tax Compliance Management System

Requirements
  • Degree or certificate in economics, or a professional qualification in the tax field. A tax consultant exam is not required.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a tax consulting firm or in the tax department of a company
  • Basic knowledge of international tax law
  • Independent, reliable, and team-oriented working style
  • Good English skills
  • PC literacy, including advanced knowledge in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
