Your Title: Staff Data Governance Engineer

Job Location: Chennai (Remote)

Our Department: AECO Sales Operations

Are you a motivated Data Governance engineer with demonstrated experience with Transformation projects, Master Data and Data Quality? 

We are looking for an experienced data professional to take on the responsibilities of Data Governance engineer in Trimble’s AECO sector.

You will be working as part of the Sales Operation Data Governance team with the responsibility of ensuring reliable data to stakeholders across sales ops, marketing, sales, finances, customer success and other. 

In this role you will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders across different functions to drive data governance best practice across key data sources.

Your responsibilities will include

 

  • Execute data quality lifecycle including profiling, DQ measure set up, remediation,monitoring and measuring business value.

  • Documenting rules, guidelines, processes and standards to set up and maintain data quality

  • Participate in data transformation projects including MDM, data migration and system re-engineering.

  • Create data quality products and oversee the maintenance of those data products.

  • Evaluating what is needed to solve a specific data problem, performing root cause analysis and creating corrective action plans, defining how to best achieve the desired outcome.

  • Engaging with stakeholders in a data ecosystem to ensure data governance and data quality requirements are met throughout the whole data product lifecycle.

 

Your background is

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management,Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Governance Engineer, with a background in managing Master Data and Data Quality..

  • Expert in data profiling, data quality rule set up, root cause analysis, data remediation, data monitoring and data quality dashboards.

  • Expert in Informatica, Infomatica IDQ, Address Dr. Python, SQL, SnowSQL.

  • Expert in data enrichment tools (i.e. D&B, Leadspace etc) and processes.

  • Expert in MDM Account data, metadata, hierarchy, duplication & validation rules, tools and processes.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Strategic vision to align account master data and other domains with business objectives.
