General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Senior Manager FP&A is a key strategic partner to the CFO and other senior leaders. This role leads financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business analysis activities while managing a high-performing team of Regional Business Analysts and Business Reporting Analysts.

You will influence strategic initiatives, provide financial insights, and deliver data-driven recommendations that drive operational and financial performance. You will also lead the design and implementation of tools and processes to scale financial planning and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Finance Leadership

    • Lead annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.

    • Drive financial performance analysis, including variance analysis, KPI monitoring, and strategic reporting.

    • Prepare and present financial reporting packages for senior leadership with actionable insights.

    • Partner with business units and functional leaders to provide strategic financial guidance.

    • Lead and support M&A analysis, pricing strategies, capital investments, and cost optimization initiatives.

  • Team & Talent Management

    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts and managers aligned with business goals.

    • Promote employee engagement through clear expectations, regular feedback, and talent development plans.

    • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

  • Business Analytics & Reporting

    • Develop financial models, dashboards, and tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and visibility.

    • Leverage data from multiple systems to drive insights and support decision-making.

    • Conduct trend analysis to identify opportunities and risks.

    • Analyze cash usage, discount programs, and incentive compensation structures.

  • Process & Systems Optimization

    • Continuously improve FP&A processes, implement automation, and promote best practices.

    • Ensure data structure and financial training supports effective decision-making at all levels.

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, IT, Credit, and Supply Chain teams to align processes and ensure financial data accuracy.

  • Compliance & Communication

    • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive financial and personnel data.

    • Maintain compliance with company policies, financial standards, and regulatory requirements.

    • Regularly communicate with the CFO, Credit Managers, and other senior stakeholders.

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, business analysis, or financial leadership roles (industry or franchise experience a plus).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Expertise in financial modeling, metrics development, and performance analysis.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Host Analytics, SQL, or VBA).

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting to both small and large groups.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage change, drive improvement, and thrive in ambiguity.

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $142,800 to $200,030. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.  

  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
