EVENTS MANAGER
Full-time, Remote

At Instructional Empowerment (IE), we’re on a mission to eliminate achievement gaps and end generational poverty through deeper learning for all students. As our next Events Manager, you'll be the strategic and operational lead behind events that bring this mission to life—from our 900+ attendee national conference to year-round engagement through our digital community, 4DL (For Deeper Learning).
What You’ll Do:
  • Plan and execute high-impact events, both in-person and virtual, on time and on budget
  • Lead logistics, vendor management, contract negotiation, and on-site execution
  • Manage event budgets with a focus on profit and loss accountability
  • Track performance metrics (ROI, engagement, financial targets) and drive continuous improvement
  • Grow and activate our 4DL community by fostering relationships and identifying revenue-generating opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and leadership teams to align event strategy with organizational goals
What You Bring:
  • 4-year degree in business management, hospitality, or marketing from an accredited higher education institute.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale events (900+ attendees)
  • Strong budgeting, vendor negotiation, and project management skills
  • Familiarity with tools like Cvent, Salesforce, HubSpot, Monday.com
  • A customer-first, mission-driven mindset with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Bonus points for: PMP or CAPM certification, and experience in education, nonprofit, or mission-based sectors.

Salary range- $80,000-$90,000
