If you're driven by curiosity and a desire to make a real impact, we’d love for you to join our Product Portfolio team in the Innovation Portfolio and Technology Transformation (IPTT) department at Hempel as our new Student Assistant! 


 
What will you be a part of? 

As part of our team, you’ll be playing a hands-on role in reshaping and streamlining our processes and systems. Along the way, you’ll gain experience with portfolio governance, data tools, and strategy processes – and help us build the future of our Product Portfolio Management and Innovation Governance. 

In the Product Portfolio team, we are responsible for the development and management of Hempel’s products and projects. This is a dynamic and evolving space, where data-backed decision making and stakeholder alignment and support are key to keeping us ahead. 


 
In what ways will you create an impact? 

  • Improving and maintaining data quality and accuracy 

  • Analysing data across functions using Power BI to drive strategic decisions 

  • Tracking and reporting KPIs to monitor progress and performance 

  • Optimizing processes and workflows to improve efficiency 

  • Supporting collaboration throughout the project process, including through the Stage-Gate model and gatekeeping activities 

  • Supporting portfolio management and contributing to structured PPM tool usage 

  • Participating in change management efforts to support continuous improvement 

What do we look for in you? 

You’re probably pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analysis, or a similar field. Beyond your academic background, you’re: 

  • Skilled in Excel and passionate about working with data, including tasks such as data cleaning, KPI tracking, and dashboard preparation. 

  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools like Power BI 

  • Efficient in communicating in profound English, both written and spoken 

  • Detailed, diligent and meticulous, with a passion for finding solutions 

  • Comfortable working in an international environment with diverse cultures 

  • Familiarity with relational databases, data modelling concepts, and PPM tools will also be an advantage
