About this Opportunity
This role involves planning and executing events while representing the brand, collaborating with volunteers, and ensuring seamless logistics and on-site operations to foster audience engagement and drive brand success.
Responsibilities include:
Event Management & Brand Representation
- Coordinate and execute events that align with brand identity and objectives.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistency in messaging and visual representation.
- Support development of event strategies that enhance audience engagement and maximize brand exposure.
- Collaborate with brand and marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns for events.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and event hosts.
Logistics & On-Site Execution
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, equipment, and materials management.
- Develop and oversee event schedules to ensure smooth execution.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, volunteers and staff to maintain operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with the provincial growth team to ensure that events are aligned with provincial growth plans.
- When hired, monitor seasonal staff performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Lead Generation & Data Management
- Implement strategies for capturing potential client and customer leads during events.
- Support analysis of event data to measure success and improve future lead generation efforts.
- Maintain data accuracy and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
Volunteer Collaboration & Support
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of Brand Ambassadors and Community Engagement Volunteers for events and organizational initiatives.
- Ensure volunteers have the necessary event equipment and collateral and understand their roles and responsibilities to optimize events and public engagement.
- Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and conflict resolution for volunteer teams.
- Track volunteer engagement and provide feedback to enhance their experience and effectiveness.
General
- Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
- Liaise with senior volunteers and other departments as required.
- Provide general, ongoing support to members/volunteers, responding to/directing inquiries and consulting with the appropriate groups and individuals to support the mission and vision of GGC.
- Other duties as assigned.
You are an ideal candidate if you have:
Education, Designations, and Certifications:
- Post-secondary education related to Event Management, Marketing, Recruitment, Volunteer Management or Sales/Business.
Prior Work Experience:
- 2-3 years’ experience in growth, recruitment or sales portfolios.
- Experience in Membership-based organizations, Associations or Non–profit organizations an asset.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- Strong organizational, project management and administrative skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Access to a vehicle to assist on-site for events.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in data tracking, campaign performance analysis is a plus.
- Experience working with volunteers an asset.
- Knowledge of Girl Guides of Canada an asset.
- French language skills/fluency (and any other language spoken in Canada) an asset.

Hiring Range $50,200.00 - $59,260.00 annually
