We have an exciting remote opportunity for an Associate Director, Global Trade!

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the FTZ program - this includes establishment of new zones and oversite of existing zones through partnership with the business
  • Formalize requirements and supporting documentation for FTZ management
  • Assist in the development and deployment of automated solutions
  • Identify and elevate risks                                                   
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training for users of PW trade requirements and compliance tools
  • Support import compliance including requirements management, testing/auditing, and addressing turnbacks 
  • Support export compliance as needed, including filing/amending, testing/audits, etc.
  • Support investigations, corrective actions, and internal/external audits
  • Provide support/mentoring to less experience personnel  
  • Support other department activities as needed

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience working with Customs Compliance, for both exports and imports; OR an Advanced degree and 10+ years of experience working with Customs Compliance, for both exports and imports
  • US Licensed Customs Broker
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Foreign Trade Zones—both initiating them and managing them once they are up and running
  • Experience with trade software systems (FTZ, etc.)
  • PMP or other project management certification
  • Proven experience leading complex projects to successful closure
  • Additional Trade certifications such as Certified US Export Compliance Officer
  • Certified Internal Auditor or other like certification
  • Six Sigma, Ace, Core designation
  • Experience with non-US trade regulations/processes
  • SAP/GTS knowledge
  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems, assess options and propose solutions with senior leadership
  • Excellent communication skills for all levels of an organization
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Experience managing people

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
