Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST)

Position Overview:

We're seeking a Transaction & Advisory Analyst to support two core areas: financial due diligence (Quality of Earnings) for buyers of small businesses and strategic finance support for clients receiving fractional CFO services. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in financial analysis, enjoys solving problems with data, and wants to grow in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality of Earnings (QoE) Support:

  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, GL exports, and bank data to identify trends and potential adjustments.
  • Prepare and contribute to QoE reports and client-ready presentations.
  • Conduct customer concentration analysis, revenue testing, and normalization of expenses.
  • Coordinate with clients and acquisition targets to gather and interpret data.
  • Draft report sections, including management adjustments, normalized EBITDA bridges, and key findings.


Fractional CFO Support:

  • Prepare monthly financial dashboards and performance summaries.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis (e.g., KPI tracking, cash flow projections).
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support accounting systems cleanup and process improvement initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in public accounting, M&A advisory, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data slicing, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data.
  • Comfort using or quickly learning tools like QuickBooks, Gusto, and modeling templates.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and strong sense of ownership.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks.
  • Prior exposure to M&A deals or Quality of Earnings analysis.
