Responsibilities

A hospital in southeastern Iowa has an opening for a Teleradiologist to provide remote locum coverage.

Opening Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5p
  • Setting: Fully remote
  • Case Volume: 75 RVUs per shift
  • Modality Mix: CT, US, MRI, diagnostic XR, NM, PET, and stroke
  • RPCE Tech Stack and PowerScribe 4.0
  • Must be board-certified
  • This opening allows a skilled Radiologist to support dedicated teams while working from the comfort of their own home.
  • Provide accurate, timely remote interpretations of imaging studies while keeping patient care at the forefront.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team in Southeast Iowa by engaging through secure, user-friendly virtual platforms.
  • Maintain clear and friendly communication with referring physicians to ensure seamless diagnoses.

Qualifications

  • Board certification in Radiology with a commitment to excellence and continuous learning.
  • Strong experience in teleradiology and familiarity with remote imaging platforms.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated home office setup for seamless diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate virtually with colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to staying updated with the latest radiology best practices and technology.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude toward managing diverse caseloads remotely.
  • A passion for delivering quality patient care while making a positive impact in Southeast Iowa.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Active unencumbered MD or DO Iowa state license
  • Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
  • One year of work experience as a Teleradiologist
  • One year of EMR experience
  • Board Certified
  • Possession of board certification or equivalent credentials in radiology.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in teleradiology practices during evening shifts.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to delivering timely and accurate radiological interpretations.

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
