Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Business Systems who has well-developed analytical skills, and can perform exploratory data analysis analyzing large sets of data to uncover trends and opportunities, as well as ensuring data quality, integrity, and governance across systems. Solid understanding of business process and system process within multiple knowledge areas. Demonstrated track record of strong consulting skills to bridge the gap between business teams and technical developers in a cross-functional environment, translating business needs into data-driven insights and working with developers to implement scalable solutions. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Act as a liaison to ensure that data solutions are both technically sound and aligned with strategic objectives.

*** This position must be located in Bellevue, WA, Overland Park, KS, or Frisco, TX. This is not a remote role, this is a hybrid environment requiring at least 3 days a week in office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build expert knowledge of products, systems, data and data quality in order to provide high business-impact analysis and consultation. Provide robust, data-driven customer insights and recommendations by performing deep dives and providing significant analysis to the business units and technical stewards
  • Skilled in extracting and analyzing information from diverse sources, resolving discrepancies, breaking down sophisticated concepts into detailed components, identifying the root needs behind user requests, and separating proposed solutions from actual requirements

  • Understands how systems and processes impact requests/projects.  Develop business knowledge and understanding among business systems analysts and project collaborators.  Brokers consensus among partners with conflicting needs

  • Poised when interacting with senior level audience.  Invests in partner management and possesses the ability to gain partner trust. 

  • Understand source tables and how they relate to each other and understand the data flow to set up the appropriate test scenarios.  Develop, document, and complete test scripts on large sets of data and document and communicate test results to appropriate parties

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Computer Science, Data Science or Related Field (Required)

  • Work experience:

  • 4+ years’ experience working with relational databases using SQL and data querying, cleaning, wrangling, working with common relational and non-relational databases in big data environments

  • 4+ years’ experience articulating and translating business questions and using data analysis techniques to arrive at an answer

  • Must be proficient in SQL programming and data modeling across major relational databases, with experience in data environments such as Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud

  • Must be proficient in root cause analysis and identifying data anomalies, with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to synthesize data, uncover insights, and optimally communicate recommendations to both technical and business audiences

  • Solid understanding of data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity, and uniqueness)

  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau etc.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Wireless industry experience (Preferred)

  • Financial reporting experience (Preferred)

  • Project Management experience (Preferred)

    Base Pay Range: $80,900 - $146,000

    Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
