Your role at Clorox:

The Shopper Experience Manager is responsible for driving strategic media and marketing plans across the Dollar Channel & Home Hardware channels. In partnership with cross-functional teammates, this role serves as creative enabler of retailer marketing plans that are anchored to national media plans and cascaded to the shopper. You’ll also do the reverse, partnering with Business Unit Marketing teams, bringing them along on the specific needs of the unique shoppers in the Dollar & Home Hardware channels to ensure that national media plans are working efficiently across your customers. The result will be efficient, effective, cohesive full-funnel media plans. By leading with consumer & customer-forward insights and data, expect to play to win!
The Shopper Experience Manager reports directly into the Sr. Director of Field Sales for Dollar and is directly responsible for a team composed of Associate Shopper Experience Manager, Shopper Experience Senior Analyst, Agency relationships & scope.

In this role, you will:

Lead Shopper Experience strategy and execution with Key Retail teams.  
Partner with Sales business owners to: 

  • Integrate Brand into consumer and customer strategy, generating go to market plans with integrated media strategy and omni sales plans to deliver customer growth goals. 
  • Define marketing objectives and plan and execute retailer media plans with RMNs and agency partners. 
  • Execute annual tactical plan Inclusive of ongoing optimization, to ensure BIC use of funding to deliver maximum ROI and results against Customer business plan. 
  • Plan and prepare for annual strategy presentations including internal Customer Planning, External Customer JBPs & Business Reviews 
  • Oversee the SX budget, resources, and timelines for SX events 
  • Responsible for helping to influence Clorox Enterprise marketing strategy and initiatives across the Channels which are foundational to growth in HHW and Dollar channels

Analyze market trends and consumer insights to identify new opportunities  

  • Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry thought leaders. 
  • Leverage Shopper Team (Shopper Insights & Category Insights) to make recommendations on business plan approach and identify strategic audiences aligned with Sales Goals 
  • Communicate progress and results of annual SX plans vs. expectation within PPA / KPI process 
  • Watch for competitive trends, news,  and share POV to cross-functional team

•    Understanding of and curiosity for consumer insights and competitive intelligence, with the ability to translate ambiguous findings and data into actionable strategies 
•    Differentiates consumer and shopper with ability to create audiences aligned with the Sales Growth Strategy

•    Works well with others and leverage the diverse skills and perspectives of their team members. They should create a culture of ownership and encourage feedback, experimentation, celebrate successes and learning. 
•    As a people manager, you will guide and coach your direct reports development enabling strong career path at Clorox. This includes setting clear priorities and definition of success in addition to a formal development plan. 


Communicates Effectively: 
•    Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills, with ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and funding request + application to both internal and external stakeholders. 
•    Successful management of Agency relationships and execution of clear briefs 
 

Workplace type: 

  • This role is open on ideal qualified candidates being located in a Clorox Hub: either Oakland, CA - Durham, NC – or Bentonville, AR and will abide by the Hybrid 2.0 Policy, 3x per week in office. Open to remote qualified internal applicants.  

Travel is required: Atlanta, North Carolina, Nashville, Virginia, California (every other month on average) 

Previous Experience helpful to prepare for this role: 

  • 6+  years experience in CPG Marketing / Customer Marketing/ Brand Management or Sales 
  • Marketing, NAM, RSM, Media planning, Shopper Marketing – Corporate or Agency 
    People management experience is required.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $128,000 - $252,200

–Zone B: $117,400 - $231,200

–Zone C: $106,700 - $210,200
