Position: Operations Manager

Department: Operations

Business Unit: Olive & June

Work Location: California, 100% Remote

What you will be doing:

At Olive & June, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager to oversee and optimize day-to-day operations across our retail and wholesale channels. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth order processing, inventory coordination, and retailer compliance, while also driving process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in demand planning, supply chain coordination, and retail operations, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can maintain accurate data, collaborate cross-functionally, and act as a key liaison between our internal teams, brokers, 3PLs, and retail partners.

  • Demand Planning: Leverage prior experience with demand planning to support forecasting efforts and inform inventory decisions, though not a primary function of the role.

  • EDI Order Processing: Manage daily EDI transactions across retail partners, ensuring accurate and timely order flow, troubleshooting errors, and maintaining clean data.

  • Retail PO Execution & EOM Support: Ensure all retail purchase orders ship on time. Provide support during end-of-month (EOM) periods to meet sales goals and shipping deadlines.

  • Broker & Retailer PO Follow-Up: Partner with brokers and retail contacts to confirm receipt of submitted POs, follow up on missing replenishment orders, and support visual merchandising orders.

  • SKU Cross-Reference Maintenance: Maintain SKU mapping and cross-reference documentation across all retail accounts and ensure accuracy in internal and external systems.

  • Inventory Management Coordination: Monitor inventory availability to support order fulfillment and prevent stockouts or overstocking. Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams as needed.

  • Logistics & Fulfillment Oversight: Work with 3PLs or internal logistics teams to track shipments and ensure on-time, in-full delivery. Resolve delivery or routing issues quickly.

  • Retailer Compliance Management: Ensure retailer-specific requirements (e.g., labeling, routing guides, case pack compliance) are followed to avoid chargebacks and penalties.

  • Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate operational data (lead times, pricing, pack sizes, etc.) and generate regular reports on order status, fulfillment metrics, and open POs.

  • New Item Setup Support: Assist with onboarding new SKUs in retailer systems and ensure all product data is submitted correctly via portals or EDI systems.

  • Process & System Improvements: Continuously evaluate and improve internal workflows, communication channels, and system usage to increase operational efficiency.

  • Customer Service (B2B): Respond to inquiries from retail customers about orders, delivery timelines, or urgent issues, providing timely and professional support.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with product data management.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or related field.

  • Experience working with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems

  • Mastery of Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, modeling)

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with supply chain management software or ERP systems.

In California, the standard base pay range for this role is $91,197.69 - $136,796.53 annually. This base pay range is specific to California and may not be applicable to other locations.
