The opportunity

Join us as Head of SCM IMS Tower for IT Sourcing & Supplier Management - a high-impact senior role at the intersection of technology, procurement, and strategic supplier engagement. You are fully accountable for a global IT spend of $650–700 million, leading three specialized teams of Sourcing Professionals and Vendor Managers across Hardware, Software, and Services. Representing our business unit Hitachi Energy you also have a seat on the Global IT Sourcing Board of corporate Hitachi Limited.  This is your opportunity to shape our digitalization roadmap, consulting our business and corporate CIOs and delivering sourcing strategies that drive innovation, resilience, and long-term value across the enterprise!

How you’ll make an impact

• Accountable for delivery of high-performing IT sourcing team across Hardware, Software, and Services categories
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, aligning IT procurement with business goals and technology roadmap
• Manage supplier relationships and risks, ensuring compliance and maximizing service value
• Achieve continuous cost improvements and efficiency through effective spend management, digitalization, and portfolio optimization
• Direct contract negotiations, securing favorable terms while addressing legal, data, and cybersecurity risks
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Legal, Finance, and business units to align sourcing strategies
• Monitor and report supplier performance, market trends, and cost savings to senior leadership
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA preferred
• 10+ years in IT procurement, sourcing, or supplier management, including a minimum 5 years of direct leadership
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation and managing complex, multi-country supplier relationships
• Strong understanding of IT domains like SaaS, IaaS, enterprise software, cybersecurity, and networking
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, juggle multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure
• Track record of aligning IT sourcing strategies with business goals and driving measurable impact
