As the Q&CI Manager, you will be part of the UK management team for the Grids and Power Quality Solutions business unit at Hitachi Energy.
How you’ll make an impact:
Act as a role model for a strong Quality culture, driving Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
Drive and support Q&CI Strategy implementation within the UK Operating Unit
Maintain, manage, and improve our certified Quality Management System (QMS)
Perform assessments and audits as an input to improving processes
Lead improvement projects, facilitate lessons learned and best practice sessions, conduct training sessions, and share acquired knowledge within the organisation
Drive Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) within the organisation and during project execution to ensure compliance with customer, company, and/or regulatory requirements
Ensure customer feedback is represented within the local business
Provide training to individuals and teams on Q&CI topics so that they are better equipped to drive the quality and improvement efforts
Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in driving Quality culture, preferably within an Engineering environment
Knowledge of Quality Management systems, methodologies, and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Ability to build, maintain, and influence effective working relationships within a large and complex organisation
A strong growth mindset and a collaborative approach to leadership
Familiarity with Continuous Improvement frameworks, such as Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, and 8D
