The Opportunity

We are seeking a Corporate Insurance Analyst with experience in an insurance agency or corporate brokerage, specifically related to financial services risks and their physical locations, such as office buildings and ATMs. Advanced certifications like CRM, CPCU, or ARM are preferred. The ideal candidate will have expertise in property and casualty, cyber, and workers compensation policies, along with experience in claims management and risk assessment. Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills are critical, as is the ability to analyze coverage accurately and collaborate effectively with both internal and external parties.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: Plano, TX, San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL.

 Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Applies proficient knowledge of industry and company strategies to develop analysis materials which advise an overarching corporate insurance strategy that aligns with the company's risk management objectives and long-term business goals.
  • Applies proficient corporate knowledge to collaborate with other team members in the identification, assessment, and analysis of the company's potential risks and liabilities to resolve appropriate insurance coverage needed.
  • Engages with senior analysts to resolve selection and the customization of insurance policies that meet the company's specific needs, ensuring the most favorable terms and conditions.
  • Participates in and contributes to the captive insurance program processes and results in alignment with company’s risk management objectives and compliance with applicable laws and regulations of its domiciled jurisdiction.
  • Performs tasks in the insurance claims process, working closely with internal partners and insurers to expedite claim resolution while adhering to policy terms and conditions.
  • Drives a strong risk-based control culture in compliance with laws and regulations, internal requirements and the company’s comment to a strong risk management culture.
  • Conducts and reports results of analysis of total cost of risk to optimize coverage to more senior analysts.
  • Prepares materials for and participates in discussions with key partners to provide insurance program details and updates.
  • Applies proficient industry and corporate knowledge for the collection and compilation of industry data and analysis for regular benchmarking exercises to assess the efficiency of insurance programs and support data-driven decisions for improvements.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 4 years experience in corporate insurance management, financial institution risk management, or a related field.
  • Proficient knowledge in insurable risk management, financial institution exposures, captive insurance utilization, claims management, safety & health, law/regulatory requirements, and loss prevention and control applicable to insurable risk exposures.
  • Proficient understanding and application of risk management policies and procedures.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience within an insurance agency or corporate insurance brokerage firm
  • Experience related to risks specific to financial services companies and their associated physical locations (office buildings, ATMs, etc.)
  • Advanced certifications such as CRM (Certified Risk Manager), CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), or ARM (Associate in Risk Management)
  • Experience with property and casualty, cyber and workers compensation policy terms
  • Experience with insurance policies (commercial lines), claims management, and risk assessment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organization skills
  • Proven examples of accurately and timely analyze coverage and collaborate with internal and external parties regarding claim and conflict resolution

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $69,920 - $133,620.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

 

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
