Job description

This is a remote position.

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst with Insurance experience to join our team based in the Philippines. 

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch break (New York, NY)

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders 
  • Analyze current business processes and identify improvement opportunities 
  • Create functional specifications and user stories 
  • Support UAT and system testing activities 
  • Facilitate meetings between business and technical teams 
  • Assist with project documentation and requirement tracking 
  • Learn insurance domain processes (policies, claims, underwriting) 
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are met

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance or related field 
  • 1-2 years experience in business analysis or related role 
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills 
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Good English communication skills (written and verbal) 
  • Willingness to learn insurance domain knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Any exposure to insurance or financial services 
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of SDLC processes
