Job Summary:

We are looking for a QA Engineer to help ensure the quality of our cross-border payment solutions. You will work closely with the development team to test both our mobile application (iOS, Android) and backend APIs. The role involves hands-on automation and manual testing to ensure high product quality in a fast-paced environment with many technical challenges.

You will help improve our automated test coverage, validate new features manually, and help maintain high confidence in releases. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful financial products with complex integrations, diverse user needs, and high demands for reliability.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Design, write, and execute test cases for mobile apps and backend APIs.
  • Participate in manual functional testing for new features, integrations, and regression cycles.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests (e.g. UI, API, integration) as part of our test suite.
  • Work closely with developers to understand requirements, discuss edge cases, and clarify expected behaviors.
  • Analyze defects, investigate root causes, and ensure clear reporting
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve our testing processes and coverage.
  • Participate in release validation for mobile apps (iOS, Android) across multiple devices and OS versions.
  • Support backend testing by validating REST APIs, data correctness, and system behavior under different conditions.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing (mobile or backend).
  • Familiarity with mobile app testing challenges (devices, OS versions, UI testing).
  • Experience testing REST APIs (tools like Postman or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with test automation (at least basic scripting in JavaScript, Python, or Java).
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., WebdriverIO, Appium, Playwright, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of software development and QA processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
  • Previous experience in the financial domain.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
