Regional Channel Sales Manager

The Northeast Regional Channel Sales Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining all necessary functions related to the management of sales through our channel partners within Northeast U.S. This position drives positive outcomes by addressing stakeholder needs and concerns to reach acceptable solutions. Responsibilities include the effective implementation and coordination of all policies and sales strategies associated with our channel partners, collaborating with channels to maintain and grow profitable sales, developing channel sales representatives on our products and services, and driving channel marketing plans and initiatives. The Regional Channel Sales Manager is expected to, and has the authority to, make routine decisions regarding the channel strategy to ensure the business practices and goals of Walter USA are being met.

Key Performance Areas

  • Develop and implement effective channel sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Manage relationships with existing channel partners and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partners to assess performance and provide support.
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned channel partner accounts, including local, regional, and national partners.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Resolve channel partner issues and complaints to maintain trust.
  • Report on sales results to senior management.
  • Inform classified sales channels and end users of new product/service introductions.
  • Remain aware of customer needs regarding price, delivery, and product offerings, and work with appropriate classified channels to leverage this knowledge to best serve the customer and obtain the most profitable business for the company.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to drive marketing activities.
  • Coordinate target account activity with Sales and Key Accounts.
  • Develop Walter distribution value proposition/capabilities.
  • Contribute to changes required for the distributor policy/handbook.
  • Support conversion activities.

Your Profile

  • Degree(B.S.) in Business, Marketing or Engineering and /or equivalent experience. 
  • At least five (5) years’ working experience in managing customer relationships, in cutting tool industry ideally via distributors.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills of a business and technical nature.
  • Possess computer skills and be able to use the Microsoft Office Products, CRM, and be an advocate for Walter Express and GPS.
  • An understanding of manufacturing procedures, finances, channel marketing and logistics.
  • Must be a person of high integrity and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently and overnight.
  • Exceptional team working skills that create team spirit and sense of urgency to meet corporate goals
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and time management skills
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
