AEM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join their Accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this role provides accounting, administrative, and support services while working closely with internal business partners. The position will have a primary focus on financial statement analysis and account reconciliations. This position also acts as the primary administrator for the company’s corporate credit card program. This role plays a crucial part in the monthly close process and will be focused on reconciliation and financial statement analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in month end close, including accrual and prepaid entries, financial statement review for miscategorized transactions, GL/departmental mismatch correction, and general completeness.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliation schedules and analysis for assigned accounts.
• Conduct AOP to actual result comparison and meet with assigned department managers to review results.
• Develop and maintain schedule for biweekly payroll entries and monthly analysis for variances. Calculate and post monthly accrual entries.
• Participate in annual audit, preparing schedules and generating backup documentation as required.
• Administer company credit card program.
• Maintain lease details through third party software and reconcile to NetSuite.
• Provide information and conduct research regarding various accounting related projects as requested.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, required
• Minimum of 2 years in a Senior Accountant or equivalent role required
• Proficient with MS Excel
• 2+ Years Experience with NetSuite required
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in work performed

Additional Information:

· This is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States and/or Canada.

· Must be eligible to work in the U.S. or Canada without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

Canadian Compensation Range: A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 CAD per year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. AEM considers a wide range of factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, licensure and certifications, key skills as well as other market and business considerations when extending an offer. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
