Job Overview:
As the Senior Event Planner, you’ll create and execute client event activities from concept through execution and evaluation. You’ll play a key role in the event strategy for our sales organization, bringing creative ideas and business goals together to deliver impactful in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. In this high-visibility position, you’ll collaborate with team members and leaders of all levels from across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Brainstorm creative event concepts and create high-touch experiences from concept to post-event evaluation
Manage events from start to finish, including maintaining yearly event calendar and budgets, program format, travel logistics, invoice processing, production of event materials, and post-event evaluation
Perform post-event evaluation and create reports for event stakeholders
Implement industry trends and bring new resources, tools, and ideas to the Sales Enablement team to continuously improve and elevate the client experience
Develop and manage project plans to execute events that align with business strategy and drive measurable outcomes
Understand how to leverage available internal and external resources for successful execution
Conduct extensive phone and email interaction with clients and internal and external partners

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; focus in event planning, hospitality, marketing, or similar preferred
3+ years of meeting planning experience at a hotel, association, corporation, DMC, or similar
Strong understanding of event planning, operations, and marketing; experience in the financial sector a plus
Ability to travel 30% of the time

Ability to influence and partner with business colleagues throughout the organization
Able to function in a fast-paced environment against rigid timelines
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
High level of tact and diplomacy
Grace under pressure and sense of humor

Experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Preferences:
Certifications and professional designations a plus, but not required
