Job description

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Function as a Trading Partner Operations API Specialist for connection projects with Waystar trading partners. Coordinators must fully understand all requirements to complete the connection, assign tasks to internal and external resources and ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. Effectively communicate project requirements to the project team which will include both technical and non-technical individuals. Continuously improve the department processes and procedures to ensure the highest value possible for our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • In depth understanding of HL7, FHIR, Davinci, and API standards 

  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation 

  • Establish new connections as directed by the Trading Partner Operations Director following established departmental procedures 

  • Provide insight and direction to the development process as it relates to API transactions 

  • Communicate closely with Operations, Product, IT, Sales, and the other analysts in development of new payer connections 

  • Maintain current action item list for each project, 

  • Meet standards of implementation quality checks 

  • Document and update processes and workflow for efficient payer projects 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    • Demonstrated project management skills. 

    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. 

    • Excellent analytic and problem solving skills. 

    • Knowledge of Windows-based computer environment, including MS Office and related programs. 

    • Active ownership and responsibility regarding duties and task. 

    • Ability to work unsupervised in a corporate environment. 

    • Knowledge of healthcare claims transactions 

    • 2-year or 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.  

    • General EDI knowledge
