We are looking for a Compliance Officer. You will be part of our Compliance and Data Protection team in Hempel’s global operations and will collaborate with colleagues from all segments and functions across our organisation.

Hempel has its Corporate Head Office in Lyngby, and the Compliance and Data Protection team supports the entire Hempel Group. The position is based in Lyngby, Denmark.

Will you be a part of a trusted team?

  • Drive and lead Compliance projects, many involving Compliance technology

  • Implement the Compliance & Data Protection training program and help ensure all Hempel employees are trained and re-trained in all relevant compliance matters.

  • Work with our subject matter experts in developing and keeping our Compliance Training program relevant, engaging and up-to-date.

  • Be the Compliance & Data protection team’s digital lighthouse and help us to get most out of our existing Compliance technology, adapt and upgrade our Compliance technology together with Hempel’s Digital teams.

  • Own the anti-bribery program and conduct Business Partner / Third Party due diligence

  • Support our organisation and leadership teams with timely, professional and operational advice.

  • Assisting with managing, overseeing or leading internal whistle-blower investigations

  • Supporting M&A due diligence and integration activities

  • Delivering face-2-face compliance training to our colleagues

  • Responding to our clients’ and banks’ due diligence requests

  • Preparing reports, speaking notes and recommendations to our management

Are you a digitally minded, operational hero and strategic thinker who can build trustful relationships?

Our ideal candidate will come from an international environment, where people and customers are at the core. Furthermore, we expect that you have:

  • At least 5-6 years’ experience in a Compliance role with international exposure, ideally with some experience in managing anti-bribery, sanctions and export controls or competition law compliance programs.

  • Ability, interest and experience to drive digitalisation projects to further automate our service deliveries

  • A record of accomplishment of efficiently and effectively working and collaborating across a matrix organization in a global organization

  • Excellent cultural understanding and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels of an organization

  • Ability to manage multiple requirements and remain composed under pressure.

  • Professional maturity and impeccable ethics and integrity.

  • Proficiency in English language

  • Ability to travel. up to 15 days per year.

  • A can-do attitude
