Job description

We are on the look-out for a highly motivated, driven People Leader to be part of this journey to future-proof our success as an Area Manager in Metro NSW Region.

As the Area Manager you will:

  • Lead the Annual Growth Plan process for each stores within the region. In conjunction with the sales manager, ensure alignment between Sales and Store team on the Annual Growth plans. 
  • Lead culture of Sales Excellence through coaching and promoting consistent language with our Wattyl Sales Process and competencies. 
  • Collaboration with Sales Manager on sales and customer growth opportunities 
    Recruit, lead, mentor, onboard, train and coach store employees to ensure a highly motivated, aligned and well-trained workforce. 
  • Achieve sales and contribution targets against budget on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Manage region P&L, ensuring appropriate action is taken to deliver against required financial results 
  • Demonstrate and role model passion for safe working behaviour's and attitudes, ensuring there is a strong safety culture within the Stores. Take immediate action to address unsafe behaviour and report all incidents appropriately. Ensure sites are a safe and healthy environment for all customers, staff and contractors 
     

In order to be considered you will have:

  • Multisite business experience is essential with a Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated coaching, mentoring and development experience as this is a people management and leadership role across a multi- store environment. 
  • Track record in generating revenue and business development 
  • Experience executing promotional initiatives through network
  • Oversee teams management of inventory, merchandise and loss prevention processes 
  • The ability to travel throughout the region 
    environment 
  • A passion for customer service, sales and problem solving 
  • Flexibility and being able to pivot as needed
