Summary of Job Duties:
This position reports to the Dean of Career and Workforce Education and is a full-time, 12-month faculty appointment. The role is essential for instructing on-ground, hybrid, and online courses teaching concepts related to advanced manufacturing (including computerized numeric controls, CNC, operation), industrial maintenance, basic welding, basic troubleshooting, principles of electricity, automation (including robotics), computer-aided drafting and design, and workplace safety.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Delivering high-quality instruction in Industrial Technology with a focus on the above concepts.
• Development and assessment of student learning.
• Utilization of the college’s student and learning management systems.
• Engagement with industry partners to align curriculum with current technological trends.
• Completion of general and program-specific duties to support student retention and completion.
• Participation in faculty senate and other governance committees.
• The course load for this position may include both credit and non-credit coursework, depending on program needs and scheduling.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering, Robotics, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • OR demonstrated competencies, professional experience, or industry-recognized credentials in similar areas as the teaching discipline.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and utilize technology in teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience in higher education, specifically in community college setting or corporate training experience.
