Our client is a remote fee-only financial planning firm. They specialize in helping tech professionals, families, and founders navigate financial decisions. They are seeking a REMOTE Associate Advisor to join their team.

Position Summary

The Associate Financial Advisor plays a key role in supporting lead advisors, providing financial planning support, and executing operations. This role is ideal for a candidate who is organized, tech-savvy, and eager to grow in a dynamic financial advisory environment. You'll assist with everything from financial planning tasks and tax coordination to client communication and investment follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Communication

Follow up on client tasks and requests
Respond to client emails and ensure timely communication
Assist with client onboarding and move money requests (ACH, wires, distributions, etc.)
Manage applications and signature collection processes
Confirm available cash for monthly disbursements

Financial Planning & Investments

Complete Roth conversions, RMDs, and 401(k) rollovers
Create financial plans using financial planning software
Maintain tracking of client stock positions, target prices, and trading windows
Conduct tax return and projection reviews
Assist with Gruntworx imports for tax document automation
Pull tax documents annually from Schwab, Altruist, and Carta (1099s, 3921s, 3922s)

System & Data Management

Update and maintain accurate client information (emails, addresses, names)
Maintain current client lists in Mailchimp and other platforms
Ensure all client records are current across systems
Create new client projects and track tasks through Karbon
Perform routine Dropbox cleanup and organization
Clean up existing accounts in Schwab
Monitor and manage cash balances

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
1-3 years of experience in a financial advisory or planning role
CFP designation preferred
Proficiency with Schwab, Altruist, Karbon, Sharefile, Mailchimp, and Dropbox is a plus
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
