About the Role

Were looking for a Python Backend Developer (Semi-Senior) to join a strategic project for a major bank in Argentina, focused on digital payments, automations, and data-driven operations. Youll be part of a growing squad working on backend integrations that power critical business processes from fraud prevention to real-time data pipelines.

This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone who enjoys working with Python, APIs, and data workflows in an evolving and collaborative environment. The role requires three days per week on-site at the clients office in Córdoba and two days working remotely.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop backend components and services with a strong focus on integration and data automation

• Build and consume RESTful APIs to connect internal systems and external providers (e.g., payment gateways, middlewares, fraud monitoring)

• Write clean, efficient Python scripts to support operational tasks and backend workflows

• Collaborate closely with functional analysts and developers across squads

• Contribute to data transformation processes using Python libraries like Pandas

• Support key initiatives such as Interbank Transfer System connectivity, reporting automation, fraud/laundering prevention, monitoring systems, and core architecture improvements

What You Bring

• 4+ years of backend development experience, preferably in banking or fintech environments

• Solid experience with Python for scripting, data manipulation, and service development

• Understanding of RESTful API concepts, with ability to both consume and build APIs

• Working knowledge of SQL and ability to perform basic database queries and data manipulation

• Experience with libraries like Pandas, pyodbc, or similar for handling datasets and DB connectivity

• A backend mindset: you enjoy working on server-side logic, integrations, and invisible-yet-critical workflows

• Nice to have: Familiarity with serverless platforms such as Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, or Google Cloud Functions
