Annual compensation between $300,000 - $370,000, PLUS an annual performance-based, discretionary incentive. What You Will Do - Essential Functions
The Chief Medical Officer is a vital member of the Executive team, playing an integral role in shaping Lucet’s strategic direction and long term vision. This role entails leading the development of the organization's clinical strategy with a particular focus on advancing behavioral health and driving medical/behavioral health integration. The Chief Medical Officer provides medical oversight, expertise, and leadership to guarantee the delivery of quality healthcare services, as well as the strategic planning, development, and implementation of innovative clinical programs. Collaborating with the commercial team, the Chief Medical Officer addresses customer needs, shares clinical insights, and advises on strategies to enhance member care and manage population health, with the goal of improving member health and reducing unnecessary medical expenditures.
Strategic Leadership
Develop and guide the vision and strategy for behavioral health and integrated care in alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with executive leadership and contribute to business development through clinical insight and stakeholder engagement.
Use clinical data and industry trends to drive innovation, improve outcomes, and enhance organizational performance.
Clinical Oversight
Oversee physician review processes and provide clinical guidance to operational teams and external review organizations.
Lead the development and implementation of clinical policies and quality programs.
Collaborate on utilization, care, and population health management strategies and oversee care transitions.
Quality Improvement
Direct peer reviews and root cause analyses of adverse events to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance in partnership with Legal, Quality, and Compliance teams.
Actively participate in quality committees to shape and oversee improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor Medical Directors across physical and behavioral health domains.
Promote professional development and foster a high-performing, ethical workplace culture.
Review organizational policies and medical advancements to maintain clinical excellence.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one state or territory of the United States (multi-state licensure preferred)
Board certified in psychiatry or Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in respective specialty.
10+ years of clinical practice experience with a strong background in behavioral health and/or integrated care
5+ years of senior leadership experience.
5+ years of experience in managed care environment
Knowledge of managed healthcare systems, medical quality assurance, quality improvement and risk management.
Deep understanding of behavioral health conditions, treatment modalities and systems of care
Accessible and visibly involved in medical community
Highly professional, poised and resilient in a high-level management interactions and creative problems resolution
Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Working knowledge of short-term outpatient methodologies and case management
Thorough knowledge of regulatory and compliance matters in behavioral health and integrated care.
Experience leading and managing change initiatives, especially in a rapidly evolving field like telehealth, home health or behavioral health.
Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary clinical teams in a remote environment.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed from home with company-provided equipment. Sitting for long periods of time is expected and use of fingers and hands for typing is necessary.
A quiet workspace with minimal background noise for calls.
High-speed internet service (cable or fiber optic) with minimum download Speed of 20 Mbps, Upload Speed of 5 Mbps, and Maximum Latency of 100 milliseconds (must be installed before starting).
