Candidate has to closely work with clients to understand the business functionality and should be able to interpret it into functional specifications.
Candidates should possess very good analytical skills and should be able to understand the process flow and troubleshoot the application process to determine the root cause of user reported L3 issues.
Should be able to coordinate with various internal teams to fulfill various system upgrades and server migrations.
Should communicate with the external clients to understand/establish various connectivity and data flow between clients and their down clients.
Candidates should have expertise in programming skills to work on the enhancements of the legacy system.
Should have the understanding/experience in release management including packaging/building/deploying and handling configuration management tools.
Candidates may have to take the initiatives in automation by learning Client proposed automation tools and apply/implement in the project.
Those who are involved in Sybase/Unix migration projects will be an add on.
