Job description

NN Digital Hub is a subsidiary company of Nationale Nederlanden Group located in Madrid, Spain.

Our main objective is to create, deliver and maintain insurance product management solutions, as service propositions to enable any agent (linked or direct), machine or company to create and sell insurance products in Europe in an automated way and real time.

We deliver IT services and solutions for the different international Business Units from Nationale Nederlanden Group

On this occasion, we offer an indefinite API Engineer position.

What is the purpose/mission of the position?
  • The purpose of the position is to build a solid integration architecture with other platforms via APIs/file exchange and software development, maintenance and evolution of the company integration code.

  • The main objective is to create standardized cost efficient, simple, reusable, maintainable and user-friendly code providing outstanding performance solutions.

  • Research new opportunities for improving the current IT stack

What are the tasks that you’ll perform?
  • Participation in solution design, concept visualization and functional and technical requirements definition and documentation.

  • Design and develop API based products and integration services.

  • Integrate technical functionality (e.g., scalability, security, performance, data recovery, reliability, etc.)

  • Produce and enforce development standards and technical standards.

  • Maintain a corporate repository of all technical architecture artifacts and procedures.

  • Assess technical implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations, best practices, and corporate policies.

  • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing IT systems.

  • Hands on day-to-day development activities using the latest Microsoft technologies.

  • Deep knowledge on integration platforms, integration patterns, modern front-end frameworks, and engagements platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of technical structure systems.

  • Stay current on the latest technology trends, standards, and practices.

What are we looking for?
  • Experience designing, developing, and testing REST APIs and integration solutions.

  • 4 or more years of experience in developing cloud applications based on the Microsoft using .NET 6 or higher with advanced knowledge of C#.

  • Experience in Azure DevOps, Git and Microsoft Visual Studio

  • Experience in Azure Services such as Azure Functions, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, and AKS.

  • Experience with Docker containers.

  • Ability to propose solutions on these or more innovative technologies.

  • An excellent understanding of best practices across technologies (client/server-side, QA, security by design, etc.).

  • Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.

  • Fluent English
