Overview

The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the business development team in all aspects of client acquisition and growth strategies. This includes market research, lead generation, preparing presentations and proposals, coordinating meetings, and maintaining a database of business development materials. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for opportunities to increase revenue and enhance the company's market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Conduct detailed market analysis to identify new opportunities, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Lead Generation: Utilize various strategies and tools to generate new leads and potential markets for business expansion.
  • Client Relations: Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Materials Preparation: Create and maintain a repository of business development materials such as presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Proposal Writing:  Assist in the development of content for proposal responses.
  • Recruiting:  Conduct pre-screening interviews for contingent hires.
  • Coordination and Support: Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and preparing the necessary materials to support business development activities.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of all business development activities, including client contacts and the status of proposals and negotiations.
  • Reporting: Assist in the preparation of reports on business development activities, outcomes, and ROI analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Journalism, Marketing, or other related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development and/or in the government contracting space.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of leading AI tools (i.e. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Gemini)
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with a knack for building rapport with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Innovative and creative, always looking for new ways to approach business challenges.
Salary Range: $60,000 - 65,000 (depending on experience)

Location:  Remote, but work hours are based on Eastern Standard time zone.
