POSITION: Manager, Operations & Business Analytics

DEPARTMENT: Corporate Operations

REPORTS TO: National Director, Facility Operations (North American Venues)

FLSA Status: Exempt, Salaried

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical professional to join our Corporate Operations team as the Manager of Operations & Business Analytics. This individual will be responsible for a broad range of functions including financial tracking, platform management, event coordination, and operational quality control. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset with the ability to manage both data and people, ensuring smooth execution of key initiatives across the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Department Financial Tracking, Budget Management & ROI Analysis

  • Develop and manage budgets for operational projects and initiatives.

  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular reporting on budget adherence.

  • Conduct ROI analysis for initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities.

2. Department Technical Platform Analysis and Management

  • Collaborate with the Operations Department by leading evaluation and optimization of key operational and analytical platforms.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Department by leading creation and managing quality KPI benchmarks.

  • Collaborate with IT and vendors to maintain technical platform integrity and ensure department initiatives are supported.

  • Oversee training and administrative support to users on selected platforms.

3. Annual Operations Conference Event Planning, Hosted Meetings and Department Webinar Support

  • Collaborate with the Operations Department by leading planning and execution of the Annual Corporate Operations Conference and Hosted Operations Team Meetings and Training Sessions.

  • Manage venue selection, scheduling, logistics, and communication for all on-site events.

  • Assist with hosting, scheduling, logistics and communication for department webinars.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless execution.

4. Venue Assessment Quality Control

  • Collaborate with Operations Department by assisting with development and implementation of standardized processes for Venue Assessment and associated quality control.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Operations Department and Regional Directors on key Venue Assessment findings and recommendations which directly impact venue contribution levels. e.g., utilities, labor savings, asset life cycle, etc. Develop venue assessment analytics to optimize operational improvements.

  • Utilize Venue Assessment analytics to development executive level summary reporting for the Department.

Supervisory Responsibilities 

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Finance, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations, business analysis, or event coordination.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.

  • Experience managing budgets and conducting ROI evaluations.

  • Proficiency in data tools and platforms such as Excel, Power BI, or similar

  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills

  • Ability to travel occasionally for site visits and event support.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with venue operations, hospitality, or live event environments.

  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet)

  • Certification in Event Planning or Project Management (PMP, CMP, etc.) is a plus.
