About Our Opportunity
We are seeking an Associate Photographer - Stylist to work in the Philadelphia Corporate office. The Associate Photographer - Stylist will perform a dual role where they will style and light products, as well as shoot imagery for placement in the catalog and on the web. This position is responsible for enhancing products by transforming sets into realistic scenes and creating visual images that meet creative, brand, and marketing objectives.
Responsibilities
Compose and style product sets.
Photograph product using both natural and studio lights.
Assist the Photographer(s) in shooting lifestyle and static product shots.
Coordinate, organize, pack, transport and manage all merchandise being photographed.
Photograph and edit products within the same day; create basic clipping paths, layer masks and retouch and color correct imagery.
Create digital product renderings from a combination of product photos, product design production files and packaging production files using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Responsible for properly naming, maintaining and organizing digital files created for each project.
Stay current on imaging and photo manipulation methods and techniques.
Drive company vehicle to off-site shooting locations as necessary.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year art college or university required.
3 years of product photography/styling experience and/or training required; 4 or more years preferred.
Proficient knowledge of photo studio equipment.
Skilled in the use and maintenance of professional grade photographic equipment.
Basic understanding of print production marks (trim, crop, die lines) on product design and page layout files.
Must be proficient in Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach/work overhead, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 35 pounds.
Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
