Sr. Manager, Cloud Infrastructure (Remote)

We are currently hiring a Sr. Manager of Infrastructure and to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved!       

This role is a work from home position and can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental US or from our corporate office in Utah.  There will be occasional travel for corporate office visits, conferences, vendor meetings, or data center visits.

You Are:  A motivated and experienced engineering leader with a strong infrastructure background and a passion for team development and innovation. As the Senior Manager of Infrastructure, you’ll play a key role in overseeing our cloud-first infrastructure strategy while supporting modernization efforts, improving automation, and ensuring the stability and scalability of our systems.

What You’ll Do:  

• Lead a team of infrastructure engineers in designing, deploying, and supporting secure and scalable systems.
• Support our journey from on-premise to cloud infrastructure, including large-scale migrations to AWS.
• Manage and enhance cloud services using AWS (EKS, EC2, VPC, networking).
• Guide the team in leveraging Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform.
• Drive automation initiatives through tools such as Octopus Deploy for runbook and deployment automation.
• Oversee and enhance web application firewall (WAF) protections (e.g., Imperva, AWS WAF).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with InfoSec, SRE, Application Engineering, and Compliance to ensure secure and reliable infrastructure delivery.
• Ensure performance, cost optimization, availability, and compliance for all infrastructure environments.
• Mentor and develop your team to foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Assist in maintaining business continuity, DR planning, and operational support.
• Help manage vendors and support contract/SLA performance as needed.

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, particularly EKS, EC2, and networking.
• Strong background in cloud migration projects and hybrid environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Familiarity with Octopus Deploy or similar automation/orchestration tools.
• Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF) such as Imperva and AWS WAF.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure security principles and IT compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, SOX).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Previous experience working in or with SRE/ITOps/Command Center teams is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator)
• ITIL certification
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in Agile environments
