As the Manager Land Sr you will be responsible for overseeing all land management activities, including supervising landmen and ensuring compliance with state regulatory functions. Your role will involve strategic planning, negotiation, and coordination with various stakeholders to secure land rights and manage land assets effectively.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Supervises and mentors a team of landmen, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective land acquisition and management
  • Ensures all land transactions and activities comply with state and federal regulations
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting land management
  • Leads negotiations for land acquisitions, leases, and other agreements. Develop strategies to secure land rights and optimize land use
  • Builds and maintains relationships with landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Develops and implements land management strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives; Identify opportunities for land development and utilization
  • Oversees the budget for land management activities, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial plans
  • Represents the company in industry forums, regulatory hearings, and with partners
  • Drives innovation in land systems, digital compliance, and contract automation
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; minimum of ten (10 ) years of experience in land management, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role
  • Preferred: Masters degree in Land Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; fifteen (15) years of experience in Land Management with ten (10) years experience in leadership

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Knowledge of upstream, midstream or downstream assets
  • Expertise in managing state regulatory functions
