Job description

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for processing Home Mortgage loans per bank policies and procedures.  


Essential Functions:

  • Properly process mortgage loan applications from application to closing, including gathering required documentation.
  • Order Flood Determinations, all verifications, and any additional items required for loan approval. 
  • Properly review and verify documentation received from customers per policies and procedures.
  • Accurately calculate various incomes for processing loan applications, including understanding the different types of calculations required for loan processing.
  • Responsible for updating information on applicable software, monitoring the status of necessary documentation throughout the loan process, and ensuring proper documentation is obtained.
  • Run appraisal on UCDP within Mortgagebot and send the borrower a copy of the report. 
  • Prepare and submit loan files, if required to PMI company, for MI approval and/or NIFA for pre-closing approval.
  • Prepare and submit loan files to the underwriter for approval and follow up on necessary items to close the loan promptly.  
  • Aid the mortgage loan officer and staff when necessary. 
  • Assist in loan closings.
  • Process denied/withdrawn loans and if HMDA reportable, ensure information is input in Mortgagebot for correct reporting. 


 Qualifications/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Banking experience preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and phone.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
