Job Summary

The Pricing Manager at Pacific Rim Capital (PRC), plays a crucial leadership role in shaping and implementing pricing strategies that drive profitability, enhance competitiveness, and support sustainable growth.  Reporting directly to the Vice President of Pricing and Portfolio Management and the position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pricing, ensuring optimal revenue generation while maintaining a keen focus on customer satisfaction and market dynamics. Strategic vision, analytical acumen, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally will be essential in achieving the company's financial goals and staying ahead in a dynamic market.


Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy Development:
Assist in the formulation and execution of pricing strategies aligned with the PRC’s business objectives, customer needs, and market positioning. Monitor industry trends and economic factors to support pricing structure optimization. Support structuring leveraged equipment transactions ranging from $10K to $200MM.


Credit Support:
Monitor credit limits, expirations, and quality in collaboration with senior team members. Ensure pricing aligns with the company’s investment policy and credit standards. Partner with Lenders, Capital Markets Group, and Syndication team regarding portfolio credit requests.

 

Financial Analysis:
Perform data-driven financial analysis to evaluate pricing performance and develop actionable insights. Support the development and refinement of pricing models to maximize revenue and profitability.


Market Research:
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about pricing trends and customer preferences. Use findings to propose adjustments to pricing strategies.


Pricing Optimization:
Apply pricing optimization techniques to balance revenue generation with customer demand and market conditions. Assess customer requirements and price elasticity to support strategic adjustments.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, portfolio management, and finance teams to ensure pricing strategies align with broader business goals. Provide pricing support to facilitate informed decision-making.


Pricing Tools and Technology:
Stay informed about pricing software and technology solutions. Assist in implementing tools to enhance pricing processes and analytics.


Performance Tracking:
Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor pricing strategy effectiveness. Prepare and present periodic reports with actionable recommendations to senior management.


Team Collaboration and Leadership:
Collaborate with team members, contributing to a high-performing pricing function. Offer mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.


Requirements

  • Must have BA, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or Statistics
  • Must have 5-7 years of experience in pricing, leasing or financial analysis
  • Must have 2-3 years experience managing people
  • Knowledge of equipment finance across various asset classes.
  • Understanding of equipment valuation and residual values.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to contribute to a high-performing team environment.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, self-motivation, and resilience under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving improvement and change.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deliver accurate results within deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic business environments.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in modeling and forecasting.
  • Experience with CRM tools.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency is a plus but not required.



Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $104,000-$121,000
  • Performance Bonus: Eligible for a quarterly bonus of up to 15%, bringing the total compensation range to $ 119,600- $ 139,150
