We are seeking a Sr. Portfolio Analyst who will be responsible for assisting the investment strategy team to provide investment and portfolio research to enhance the investment selection and communication process to advisor teams. Under supervision, this role will conduct market research as instructed and complete daily workflows. This role has exciting growth potential.
This position is a remote opportunity, though ideally candidates will be located on the East Coast or near our office location in Boston.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $130,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Primary Job Functions
Participate in market research
Update and provide analysis on Market Monitor and Macro Indicators
Participate in the due diligence process for institutional quality third-party managers
Attend third-party manager meetings
Contribute questions and insight on outside managers
Help draft Due Diligences Reports
Run quantitative screens and attribution reports
Understanding of quantitative and systematic investment philosophies
Conduct quarterly screens for our internally managed, factor-based equity portfolios
Create annual capital market assumptions for asset allocation discussions
Help with risk management and model validation
Integrate with investment team
Develop and maintain a deep understanding in areas of specialty and a general understanding of all other services provided by the team
Contribute to team meetings/discussion by sharing insights based on sector expertise
Seek to understand other aspects of investments to enhance the team’s depth of knowledge
Assist investment team with special projects as required
Participation with enthusiasm in one-time special investment related projects, which will inevitably occur as a dynamic and growing firm.
Partners with Portfolio Consulting
Communicate and provide thought leadership within the firm around investment and economic topics
Update Portfolio Descriptions and create periodic portfolio commentaries for distribution to advisor teams
Create and distribute content and assistance proactively, to increase awareness and usage of WE investment services
Education/Qualifications
4-year degree in business, finance, or economics
4-7 years’ experience within investments; financial products
CFA or CAIA advanced designation preferred
Commitment to high standard of ethical behavior; demonstrates trustworthiness
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Detail oriented; able to work with deadlines and be flexible
Professional interactions with department customers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work as a team member; positive solution-focused attitude
WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified as the Senior level is $87,400.00 to $131,100.00. The base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
