 SR. DATA ANALYST, BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

We are currently seeking a Sr. Data Analyst, Business Intelligence who has a deep understanding of the fashion and apparel industry and is a master of data science methodologies. This role will be critical in leveraging data to generate actionable insights that support key strategic decisions. This individual will be a central, Sr. Data Analyst for the company, providing reporting & analysis that supports finance, e-commerce, wholesale, buying and other departments as needed.

Location:                       Z SUPPLY Headquarters - Costa Mesa, CA

Work Type :                   Hybrid Position -  Partial In Office 3-4 Days / Partial Remote 1-2 days

 

 POSITION DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain analytical reports that guide e-commerce and wholesale business strategies.
  • Automate and streamline data analysis workflows. 
  • Utilize data to derive actionable insights in areas such as customer retention, customer segmentation, and product return rates.
  • Reconcile and distribute weekly/monthly reports for finance, e-commerce and other departments as needed.
  • Manage end-to-end data analysis tasks, including data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Create & maintain intuitive dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with data analysis.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in the data science field and the fashion and apparel industry.
     

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related field 
  • A minimum of 7-10+ years of experience as a Sr. Data Analyst, preferably within the fashion and apparel industry.
  • Strong Tableau experience required.
  • Proficiency with other data visualization tools such as Google Analytics, Looker (Data Studio), etc.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills (both written and oral). Able to simplify complex data.
  • Experience in statistical programming languages such as R or Python is preferred.
  • Experience with SQL and familiarity with database management. AWS or Shopify experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in AI. Ability to interpret outputs from machine learning and AI systems and convert them into strategic insights.
  • Advanced understanding of data science methodologies, including but not limited to:
    1. Data collection and cleaning: Experience with various data collection methodologies and the capacity to clean and standardize data for analysis.
    2. Statistical analysis: Capability to interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques and deliver ongoing reports.
    3. Data mining: Knowledge of data mining techniques to extract significant insights from large datasets.
    4. Predictive modeling and analytics: Experience with predictive models and analytics to anticipate trends and business outcomes.
    5. Machine Learning experience is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various department level reporting including, but not limited to: Finance, Operations, Logistics, Ecommerce, Wholesale, Buying and Planning.
  • Self-starter and curious mindset.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to legally work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.

SALARY RANGE 

$90,000-$125,000 Annually

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Z SUPPLY provides a range of compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. To determine starting pay within the hiring range, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, role/level, a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, internal parity and other relevant factors.  Flexibility outside of the salary range listed may be considered based on additional skills or qualifications a candidate may possess that may justify additional compensation.  Company paid health benefits, PTO, bonus and other various company perks are not included in the salary range listed above and are considered additional compensation.
