The Data Entry Analyst Responsible for the input / duplication of the medical bill information or breakdown of itemization charges into database in a timely and accurate manner while meeting production volume expectations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Responsible for line item data entry input of medical bill itemized charges into database.
- Conducts detailed review by validating patient and provider information including dates of service, bill amount and itemized bill details; verifying the information corresponds and correlates with each checked point to determine information is accurate upon receipt prior to input into database as well as a post input review after entry.
- Utilize appropriate tools put in place for quality control.
- Responsible for meeting production standards or expectations daily.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all aspects of communications.
- May provide assistance in training new incoming employees.
- Provides general support.
- Additional duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
- 1 minute typing with 40-60 words per minute
- Alpha and 10 Key keystrokes-10,000 OR above kph and accuracy rate of 95% or more
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, mainly Outlook, Excel, WORD
- Punctual and consistent attendance
- Detail Oriented
- Paperless entry with 2/3 monitors
- Ability to independently use problem solving logics
- Goal oriented with eagerness to achieve and surpass quota
- Exceptional organizational skills
- The ability to work independently
- The ability to work in a fast paced/production environment
- Effectively communication with others
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Data Entry experience
Pay Range
CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Range: $12.77 - $19.43 per hour
