Description
Position Overview:
This one-year, paid research fellowship is designed for highly motivated individuals aspiring to pursue a career in orthopedic surgery or further improve your application for medical school. The role includes both
remote work—managing research databases and data analysis—and
in-office participation for active IDE (Investigational Device Exemption) studies, patient enrollment, and hands-on research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain research databases (Excel proficiency required).
- Assist with ongoing clinical trials, patient enrollment, and data collection.
- Conduct literature reviews, data analysis, and contribute to manuscript preparation.
- Participate in IDE and other active study projects.
- Support IRB submissions and grant applications.
- Collaborate with surgeons and clinical staff to support research goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic research methodologies.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Familiarity with research ethics, IRB applications, and grant submission processes is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Previous experience in clinical research or medical writing is also a plus.
Compensation And Duration:
- Paid internship with stipend disbursed biweekly.
- No additional benefits
- Duration: One Year.
- Successful completion includes authorship and contribution to peer-reviewed publications.
