Description

Position Overview:

This one-year, paid research fellowship is designed for highly motivated individuals aspiring to pursue a career in orthopedic surgery or further improve your application for medical school. The role includes both remote work—managing research databases and data analysis—and in-office participation for active IDE (Investigational Device Exemption) studies, patient enrollment, and hands-on research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain research databases (Excel proficiency required).
  • Assist with ongoing clinical trials, patient enrollment, and data collection.
  • Conduct literature reviews, data analysis, and contribute to manuscript preparation.
  • Participate in IDE and other active study projects.
  • Support IRB submissions and grant applications.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and clinical staff to support research goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic research methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with research ethics, IRB applications, and grant submission processes is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Previous experience in clinical research or medical writing is also a plus.

Compensation And Duration:

  • Paid internship with stipend disbursed biweekly.
  • No additional benefits
  • Duration: One Year.
  • Successful completion includes authorship and contribution to peer-reviewed publications.
