Job Title: Full-Charge Bookkeeper
Location:
Remote (EST Time Zone)
Salary Range:
up to 2000 USD

Work Schedule:
Full-time. Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, with flexibility for additional hours as needed to support business goals.

Position Overview:

We're hiring a meticulous, proactive Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage the end-to-end bookkeeping operations for three entities. You'll report directly to the CEO and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial clarity, compliance, and timely reporting. This is a high-responsibility role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves clean books, and is looking for long-term stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily:

  • Categorize and reconcile daily bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
  • Monitor payouts and expenses for accuracy.
  • Post journal entries and track daily sales data.
  • Track card transactions and reconcile receipts.


Weekly:

  • Manage and reconcile accounts receivable and payable.
  • Review platform payouts and deposits.
  • Reconcile payment systems and bank accounts.
  • Prepare weekly KPI reports for leadership.
  • Respond to finance-related inquiries and ensure clear documentation.


Monthly:

  • Lead the full month-end close process: accruals, adjusting entries, reconciliations.
  • Generate financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation.
  • Coordinate with external tax and accounting partners.


Additional:

  • Maintain and improve the chart of accounts.
  • Ensure alignment with US GAAP and internal policies.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations as needed.
  • Support payroll accounting.
  • Assist in budgeting and inventory tracking (as needed).
  • Contribute to audit preparation and special financial projects.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience (US-based businesses preferred).
  • Expert-level QuickBooks Online user.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting best practices.
  • Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entities independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Familiarity with financial KPIs and sales platform reconciliation.
  • Basic understanding of inventory/COGS accounting.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with bookkeeping for restaurants or hospitality businesses.
  • CPA or equivalent credential (a bonus, not required).
